Early Italian (European) Fruit matures 15 days earlier than regular Italian (mid to late August. Requires a pollinizer. Large oblong purple fruit. Used for fresh fruit, canning or drying.
La crescent (Japanese) produce superior quality, yellow small-to-medium freestone fruit, but do not bear as heavily as some other varieties. The plums are ready for harvest in late August.
